Sorry about your headache. It's OK to take something for it. Excedrin helps me with headaches.

        Welcome to Induction Flu!
Expect to feel crappy for a few days as your body goes through withdrawal from the sugars, caffiene and starches that you used to eat.
Induction Flu can consist of all sorts of things..headaches, body aches, lethargy, dizziness, nausea..just like any kind of withdrawal.
        Is it fun? Heck no!
Will it go away? Oh yes...just hang in there!! And once this is over, it's over!

          Re: The Headache!!

I started Atkins today too. If misery loves company, my head is with yours and my hubby joins us as well
So here is to day 1 of Atkins. Only 13 more days of induction, however, mine will be a modified extension of induction. I plan to attempt to stay in that 20 carb range for quite some time. I think I will join the "Spring" challenge too.
I made up some measurement pages for me and the hubby. So when I take my shower, I will be measuring everything and weighing in. I think I am already about 4 lbs less than I thought I was...LOL That makes my goal weight 4 lbs easier!

I am doing a 1 month challenge (on my Wii Fit) of 10lbs (1 month will be 2/15/2009).
If I make small goals, maybe I can reach them!!
Measurements...What measurements, my tape measure has disappeared!!

            Re: The Headache!!

I'm on my second-second time around and when people say the flu gets worse every time you try again, THEY'RE RIGHT! Up to about 2 hours ago, I thought I was going to pass out from the nausea that the headache was causing me but I feel much better now. I had a great dinner and A LOT OF WATER after that.

This morning I had to run out of the house earlier than normal so headache/nausea and all I took my jug of water and went on the road. I didn't have a chance to eat until around 10:30am and I was absolutely SICK AS ****!!!!!!!

At this point I had 2 choices:

            1. Stop at McDonald's and have like 2 quarter pounders w/cheese, large fries, and the biggest coke they have, which would make EVERYTHING I WAS FEELING GO AWAY IN HURRY!

            OR

            2. Stop at Burger King order 2 Whoppers w/cheese, no ketchup/no onions, take them to the office and toss the bread out and enjoy. I would feel better because I finally ate but the flu would still be there.

I chose #2 because I refuse to fall off the wagon again. I felt like absolute crap all day, and as I described above up until about 2 hours ago, I was at that point where I did not know if I could take it anymore. Low and behold, I am writing this and am progressively feeling 1000% better. The tail end of this flu kicked my butt BIG TIME.

Sorry for the long post, but the moral of the story is THIS TOO SHALL PASS, and you'll be on your way to the most successful weight loss you've ever experienced.

I second that!! The induction flu was worse for me my second-eighth time around too, but the way you feel after all of those toxins are expelled is indescribable. Good Luck you all!!
