LOL I think it's time for a new scale. Mine I have to jump on a few times. I usually take the best 2 out of 3. Hee Time for me to get a new scale too.

A normal bathroom scale is simply a metal platform resting on a set of springs. The compression of the springs when you stand on the scale translates to your weight. If you shift your weight by leaning backward or forward, the compression of some of the springs will change. This causes the weight reading to change.

Stand straight and centered on the scale, and try to stand in the same place and same body position each time you weigh for consistency in weight readings.

You are so smart Fluffy. I try that but I still have to do best 2 out of 3. Anyway, we aren't supposed to be jumping on the scale all the time, right? No more than once a week. And for those on induction, it's best to wait till the end of the 14 day induction period (just so you don't get discouraged by the scale bouncing around as your body adjusts).

There is nothing wrong with weighing frequently as long as you can cope with seeing downs and ups on a regular basis.
If seeing the scales stand still or go up will upset you so you start to doubt the plan and think of giving up, then weigh only once a week at most!!
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

I usually have to take the best 2 of out three as well. My fluctuates with each weigh-in so I will take an average,

If you are having trouble standing still and looking straight ahead, maybe you can position a mirror so that you can see the number in the reflection without having to lean.

Lol, try a digital scale. The analog kind with the little needle drives me NUTS! I can never tell what my weight is because of all the shifting and jumping. At least with a digital you can stand real still and then look once the weight is recorded.

That's what I love about my Tanita scale. Got it at Target for $60. It's digital and displays the weight for 10 seconds after you get off. It also has a body fat and body water % (electrical impedence) function. While not 100% accurate, I can track the relative changes as I drop my weight.
