  • Help?

What kind of salad dressings are okay during induction? I know I have to look at carbs, but is it okay to use the Atkins Carb dressings available, or are they like all of the other carb stuff? Sorry if it's a dumb question. I'm trying to make sure I get my vegetables in, but there are very few veggies I can actually tolerate.

Check the labels, I mainly use a blue cheese dressing or just mayo. Notice the ingredients on most. Sugar in whatever form is a big no no.

I've been wondering the same thing, though I haven't asked. I've been using Carb Smart ceaser or ranch... they say 0 carbs... the ingredients look ok...

IMHO, Stay away from the "carb select" style of dressings. the usally charge more, and taste like crud.

            Re: Help?

it's really not necessary to have a special low carb dressing. Kraft Ranch (all variations of it) is fine...Hidden Valley ranch is fine. Most Italian dressings are fine (Paul Newman's is good, so is his caesar dressing...marinate pork or chicken in it then grill or bake..yumm!!!) Depending where you are, you can find Renee's or Marie's Blue Cheese dressing.
If you're creative you can make your own with oil, vinegar and herbs.

I'm a big fan of olive oil with a little garlic. I put it in a cup and let it sit in the fridge overnight so the garlic goes through all of it. Also, Paul Newman's ranch is great.

This is probably a stupid question and I probably should know this already, but what is IMHO?
I think the ceaser carb smart dressing is yummy! I've been afraid to eat any regular kinds... If not the carb smart I'll use lemon with salt and pepper... that's yummy too.
Oh and I pay about 3 bucks for it... not too bad...
