  • upset!!

OK guys, I'm pretty bummed. I'm on day 9 and have only lost 6 lbs. I know some of you will say thats great, but YEARS ago when I did this I lost 10-15 lbs in a week!! The reason I'm so upset is because, I have done EVERYTHING I'm suppose to: NO cheating, started on the treadmill a few days ago (First exercise in a year or two...) and LOTS of water. Sorry I'm ranting, just upset!!

    Re: upset!!

Everyone loses at different rates. Dont be upset. It could also depend on how much you want to lose anyway.

But to be honest 6lbs in a week sounds like a real success to me! Besides, one of our longest serving members didnt lost anything at all in the first two weeks, but she perservered and is now at goal.

keep your chin up, everything will be fine.

It never ceases to amaze me of how easy and how effective this ***diet*** is!!

I have since re-gained a bit of weight, but that is soon to be coming off again!

        Re: upset!!

As we age our metabolisms slow down, so you can't expect to have the "exact" results you had years ago, because you have aged. That's the sad fact of life.

6 pounds lost is great. Celebrate the fact you are 6 pounds closer to your goal weight.

Hi Michelle! You know you're not even done with induction yet, you might be pleasantly suprised. If you just started excersising too, think of all the radical changes your body has had to make in this short amount of time. It's spinning around trying to figure out whats going on here? Fat you get out of here, muscle take its place! Stay the course and the weight will come off! You can do it girl!!

            Re: upset!!

A person can expect to lose 5 to 10% of their desired amount in the first two weeks of Induction. If you have 60 pounds to lose, then 6 pounds is excellent.
Take a moment and put some stats in your signature...start/current/goal weight would be helpful to know.

And six pounds gone is six pounds gone!! Yay!
That was then, this is now..that's what matters.

              Re: upset!!

I think one of the biggest things is the exercise... when you start exercising for the first time in a long time like that, it shocks your body and it doesn't like to give up pounds for a while. It happens to the best of us... but you're still losing fat!!

Hey your body is different that it was a few years ago! It's tougher as we get older...so a little more patience is needed. I would be THRILLED with your loss!! It's great!! Keep up the good work.
