  • My own concoction

    Hey everyone,
So I am on induction, and I had a craving and so I made up my own little comcoction hoping that it is okay. I take ice, cream about 2 teaspoons and about 1 teaspoon of splenda, and then mix it in the blender and then voola. It is so good and it takes the sweet tase away, I hope that this is okay. Give me your won opinion and if anyways has tried this before, and if it stalls weight or if I shouldnt be eating it.
    Thanks
    Christi

    Re: My own concoction

    Hi Christi

Although it is 'legal' for induction as long as you count the cream in your cream allowance, and your splenda as one of your 3 sweetener servings we encourage you here at ADBB to try not to feed your sweet tooth on induction.

Instead of having something sweet try eating something highfat like a meat/cheese rollup, celery with cream cheese, devilled egg etc. We (well, those of us with sweet tooths) need to teach our bodies that WE decide what to eat - not our sugar monster!! So by giving it a savoury snack instead of a sweet one we are letting it know that we are happy to feed it but just not with something sweet.

I found that by not even using my 'allowed' 3 servings of sweetener I really dont 'need' much in the way of desserts or sweets. My sugar monster seems to have curled up and died for lack of sugar-tasting foods!!
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
