  • Tab is back!!!

    Remember the 80's? Big hair, rock and roll, rolling up your pants, acid wash jeans and Tab soda??? Well its back in an energy drink. I ordered it for my store and got it today, theres no carbs and no sugar, and its made with Splenda. I LOVE the stuff. I was a big coffee and energy drink drinker and was bummed when I had to give it up, even the low-carb Monster has sugar but this stuff is pretty darn good! It has a similar tastes to cranberry or rasperry gingerale. It does have caffeine in it tho, so I limit myself to one a day and count it. Just thought Id share.

    It's recommended that a person avoid things like that during Induction.

    The purpose of Induction is to learn how to eat properly from the Acceptable Foods list according to the Rules of Induction. A good clean induction helps build the foundation for good eating habits that will help a person maintain this way of eating for life.

    Turning to frankenfoods doesn't really teach a person anything, and while adding it in later on in Maintenance would probably be fine, early in Induction they should be avoided.

    At this point in the diet, if it's not on the Acceptable Foods list, don't eat it.

      Like I said in my first post...I was a huge coffee and energy drinker, When i went on atkins i stopped completely and after a few days i couldnt deal with the headaches and what not and i was extremely tired. I figured this was better than coffee and sugar. Im being very careful and limiting myself and as long as im still losing weight ( 9 lbs in 6 days ) im pretty proud of what ive lost and i see any changes in anything i will do what i can to get on the ball. Thanks for the reply

        I've detoxed from caffeine more than once. The last time I felt tired for about 5 days. Caffeine is a drug and it takes some time to detox. You really do bounce back if you give it some time. I'm with Moochiecat, I would cut it out until you were through with induction...and then maybe 1 a week. But you'll find if you can cut it out and stick with it, you don't need the caffeine or the sweetener.

          Tab is back, and she is here to tell you stay away from Tab and other diet sodas while doing induction.

          Yeah, I know its tough, I felt the same way about coffee.
