    I've restarted Atkins yesterday. I wanted to slowly veer off from the caffeine because I couldn't think of possibly going through the withdrawal headache so each morning i'll have 1/2 a can of diet pepsi and slowly taper it down each day. BUT i'm started to get that terrible headache anyways. Is it from a sugar withdrawal. I also started exercising 30 minutes each day as well.

    Starting Weight 224
    Current Weight 214.0
    Goal Weight 140 lbs.

    Sugar, caffiene, carbs...yes...just power through it and it'll be over in a few days. The way I figure, you can feel crappy for 3 or 4 days, or you can drag it out for a few weeks....so why not just bite the bullet and get it over and done with.

    Drink plenty of water, take tylenol or ibuprofen and hang in there...it'll pass.

      Its normal and it will go away. Its a good sign that your body is detoxing itself of some terrible junk. Sounds like you are doing great - proud of you for exercising. You are on your way!

        I had a headache for over a day straight. (I started Monday). Just take it as a sign that your body is getting used to this new lifestyle.

          I agree with the girls, you're detoxing. It's not fun, you might start feeling achy and flu'ish too for a few days. It's normal to not feel so good for a few days when you start. Induction flu, withdrawals from the caffeine, as long as it doensn't last more than a few days, I wouldn't worry about it, your body is totally switching the way it burns fat! Keep it up, you're doing good, especially if you're exercising from the start!

              I had bad Induction Flu, take a hot bath and drink as much water as you can! You can give up coffee, I have. I didn't think it was possible, but I did it and so can you!! Good luck and hope you feel better soon!
              What would we do without it?

                I cut out the caffeine. Drinking lots of water. This morning I did break down and went to Starbucks and bought a grande decaf cafe americano topped lightly with steamed heavy whipping cream. Delish!
