Re: Kebab Meat
If in the uk, the only kebab meat you can eat are either, Shish or Chicken.Originally posted by mastera78Any one know if the lamb or chicken kebabs are induction friendly obviously minus the pita bread.. I wander if they add anything to the meats..
Donner and Kofte are packed full of fillers. Obviously stay away from the chilli sauce and the garlic mayo.

It never ceases to amaze me of how easy and how effective this ***diet*** is!!
I have since re-gained a bit of weight, but that is soon to be coming off again!

Re: Kebab Meat
I often buy a salad with chicken kebab meat.....Like Richt said, they told me, that there is no sugar, bread or anything in the chicken. I have to admit, I have not asked about the other types of kebab. I like the chicken kind best!

Re: Kebab Meat
i LOVE kebab
A few weeks ago doner was one of my staple atkins dinners but yes.. fillers worried me so i decided to drop the grease laden beauty. I asked one seller what was in the shish/kofte and he listed many ingredients i can't have atm... yoghurt etc. sigh.
I had a chicken one recently and it tasted VERY sweet like it had been sweetened with cinnamon or sugar. Worrying.

I dont think its possible to know exactly what is in the donner. It just looks horrible in that shop window, twirling around on that spit type thing.Originally posted by Elmarkwhat is in the doner kebab??? Is there always illeagal stuff in it, or just sometimes?
But they are packed full of fillers.
There is no way that that stuff is "pure" meat.

Re: Kebab Meat
This is not kebab related, but I had dog in a Peking Restaurant in SF, California. The menu wasn't in english and how was I to know that the beautiful signs meant dog???

Donner meat always reminds me of an elephant leg! Thats what it looks like going around on the spit anyway.Originally posted by ElmarkOkay, I won't even try then.....Thanks Richt....I'm glad the chicken kind is my favourite!!!sigpic260/215/180 Male - 36 y/o
