Nervous about Day 15 weight!!!!!

  • Nervous about Day 15 weight!!!!!

    Tommorow is Day #15 for me! I haven't cheated (well, I did eat an Atkin's bar on my first day before I found ADBB), and have lost 12 pounds so far. I am just worried about weighing myself tomorrow morning. What if I have gained? I have a real love/hate relationship with the scale. I don't want it to be a gain!!! I have worked so hard, stepped up my exersize, drank my water, stuck to the book, and if I have gained weight I will be devistated. It won't make me quit, this is my WOL. I guess I just wanted to voice my worries, and I wonder if anyone else fears the scale???
    What would we do without it?



    Mini-goal- 149 by June 1st. I can do it!!!

    Started this WOL on Feb. 13, 2006.

    Frankenfoods- Low Carb Shakes, Bars, Candies.
    Sugar Alcohols= Weight loss stalls and cravings!!
    These are BAD for us!!!!

    Nothing to fear -- it's just a hunk of metal! And, as you said, this is your way of life now, so whatever the scale says shouldn't have an impact! Just keep on going by the book and you'll reach your goal. And don't get frustrated if the scale doesn't move for the next week or two. I actually gained a pound around day 15, but lost it plus a couple more not long after. The body's a lot like a stubborn kid -- it has a mind of its own, but if you just keep loving it and treating it right you'll be rewarded.

    I'll be cheering for you on day 15! And congratulations on your success so far and for the support you're giving to others.

      Thank you!!! Your support means alot. I feel a little better, who cares what that hunk of metal says?!?!?!

        Hi Sunflowergrl,

        I'm sure your weigh-in will be a success! It sounds like you're doing a fantastic job!

        But, to answer your question, I get the same feelings before a weigh-in ... scalephobic, yep!

          don't fear the scale! you said it yourself--you worked hard and you excercised. i bet you feel better than you did two weeks ago, right? that's the most important thing--that you're on your way to a healthier lifestyle. congrats on completing induction!

            I echo what the others are saying. The scale can be cruel and completely inaccurate. Trust in the process of the Way of Eating and enjoy the ride!
            No stats. Not weighing anymore ever. Will post "before and after" pictures when I want to. The end.
