  • ; ; *cry* I messed up

*cry* Yesterday I was feeling weak in the knees and I just had to have something sweet I couldn't stand it any longer.

; ; So I ate a container of sugar free pudding and 2 children's vitamin filled gummy bears

I was so close to being off of my re-induction too ((I decided to go back into it after I was on a standstill of losing weight))

Atleast I can comfort myself on that the pudding was only 14 carbs and 7 of them were sugar alcohols and the gummy bears can't have been that much.

By the way... are sugar alcohols ok? I forget. >< I notice whenever I just act like they are regular carbs I seem to be more successful; as in turn my keto sticks the darkest purple :P

That sugar monster is a hard one to slay. Just get right back on the wagon and continue on. Is there anything you would do differently next time you have a sugar craving?

      >< Besides suck it up and take it like the atkineer I am? :P Well I went ahead and bought some more packs of bubblegum. It seems bubble gum takes care of any sugar craving I have.

Sugar Alcohols effect everyone differently, but most agree that a diet very heavy in them will cause stalls. It sounds like it wasn't a very big mess up, I'm rooting for you!

I can't believe I let myself get this bad
                  *cry* I messed up
Just like the skaters, we recently viewed on the Olympics, its about getting up and going on even when we fall. We finish our program, we don't give up, we don't stop dancing.

The way we talk to ourselves is extremely important. Always speak kindly to yourself - you are your bestest friend, your best beloved. Would you berate your bestest friend?

Self recrimination is never empowering and it keeps us cheating.

Love yourself enough to always talk to yourself in a positive manner.

How about this" "I spaced out for a moment, but I'm back on induction with my next bite and I'm going to be fine...Next time I'll make a mock danish when I'm craving a sweet."

You can do this, you really can.

Part of the Atkins journey is about learning to embrace ourselves no matter what. Losing external weight is great but there is mental weight to lose as well.

                    Pick yourself up...
                    Take a deep breath...
