  • Protein Shakes

I have been eating eggs (in a variety of forms) for breakfast over the past week, and have just had enough. I could not eat them this morning, as they nearly made me sick. I know it is mental- but the mind is powerful. I was hoping that someone could offer me a brand of protein shake that I could mix with water for my breakfast. I understand the importance of eating whole natural foods, which the remainder of my meals would include. I am at a critical point and am willing to drink a powdered protein shake for breakfast rather than go back to my carb-packed cereal or bagel- which will happen if I have to eat eggs seven days a week. I just need something quick and easy. Two years ago I successfully lost 50 pounds with this lifestyle. At the time I used the Atkins powder shakes for breakfast. I know that they are no longer manufactured. Thanks if advance for anyone who offers me advice or help.

You don't have to eat eggs if you don't like them or are sick of them. You don't have to eat eggs for breakfast. In fact, it wasn't until the 1800s that eggs became a "breakfast" food in the US. Before that they ate leftover meat and some whole grain like boiled oat groats.

I usually eat leftovers from last night's dinner for breakfast.

I know I can get the Atkins shakes at my local Giant Eagle and TOPS grocery stores. I know how you feel though. I think that part of my problem comes from not being able to STAND the thought of eating an egg!!! Oh, I'll do it but I don't like eggs! Eggs are better too if you mix them up with spices and seasonings which are allowed. A little cheese ... a little sour cream ... there are ways to be creative but ... I know how you feel. I'm with ya! We can do this!
I wrap things for "breakfast" ... an allowed slice of meat wrapped over an allowed ounce of cheese ... two or three rolls, with my water or allowed beverage. It's been helpful ... so, I'll keep doing.
THIS TIME and for the LAST TIME, I will do this!!

I vote for ham and cheese rollups for breakfast too!!
Quick to prepare and yummy with a few cherry tomatoes for veggies!!
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
