  • Day 1, see ya later!

So it's almost 9pm, and I think I've done reasonably well today, my first day. i ate too much dinner, and now I feel very full, but I enjoyed tracking my food and drinking at least 100 oz of water isn't hard for me. I noticed that I went from not being hungry at all to hankering for a meal in like an hour. Anybody have up and down hunger when they started?
No carb cravings though. A little headache. I'm looking forward to tomorrow.

It takes a couple of days for Ketosis to kick in, so its normal. Everyone has cravings once in a while, but they really do go away for the most part after the first few days. Good job on day #1! Keep us posted on how you are doing.
What would we do without it?

Way to go! Hang in there...your first three or four days will be the worst and then it gets easier. I'm on Day Eight so I'm past the hardest part -- and it does get better.

By this weekend you'll feel a little difference in how your clothes are fitting and less bloat. By the end of Induction you may go down a dress size! So, it is worth it.

        Keep us posted!

Congratulation and best wishes on your journey!

          up and down hunger

One you are in ketosis for a long period of time, say 1 to two weeks, many notice a decrease in appetite.

If you are truly hungry now eat more healthy food. You are allowed "liberal" portions of meat, fish, and eggs.

Make sure to include the 3 cups of veggies and the 4 ounces of cheese allowed in a day.

You never need to go hungry in this WOL.
