Just wanted to check in and share my success, hope to inspire others.
In spite of the fact that I had an *actual* cold for 4+ days (induction flu normally doesn't yield post nasal drip, does it?
), I am down to 140 as of this morning. That's 5 lbs., people! Are you listening?!?
Found that scrambled egg with some cheese makes me just as happy as a slice of bacon, and that sauteed spinach is maybe my favorite food right now.
I have not been totally perfect; had a Sobe Lean with caffeine one day and a diet root beer with aspartame another. I *have* kept a journal, which I know helps in so many ways and keeps me accountable (also helps me remember to drink enough water!).
My normal exercise schedule involves yoga and pilates 2-3 times/week, but today I strapped ds into his stroller and went for a 20-minute, very hilly, walk.
I have eaten more veggies in the past 9 days than I have in months, I think, and no sugar has passed my lips. Breaking my chocolate brownie and ice cream habits has been easier than anticipated, at least so far. I really needed to clean up my act in that department; portion control had ceased to exist and those items were replacing the healthy, whole foods that Dr. A puts at the center of his WOE.
Onward, to week two!

*Doing it for my health, not so much the scale!
