  • Ugh...

    Well i have been doing great with induction except tonight i think i blew it. I had two yes TWO Bacon cheese burgers! (without the buns of course) I didnt have any room for anything else after. WHY didnt i just eat one?

    That is no big deal!!! Don't be so hard on yourself, you can eat on this way of life!! Let go of the mindset that if you are on a 'diet', you must starve yourself. You didn't eat the buns, so no problem!!! I ate three bacon jr. cheeseburgers from Wendy's (no bun, no ketchup) when I was in Induction and I lost 14 pounds!! Please, don't be upset. You are fine!!! Good job not eating the buns!!
    What would we do without it?

      Simple question, was everything you eat today on the Acceptable Foods List and in the amounts prescribed? If everything was, you are golden. If for instance you had had 4 oz cheese already before the bacon cheeseburgers, you might have cause for correction, but if you had not, I certainly would not chastise you for feeding your hunger. Eventually you will have to learn specific portion control by eating only until you are satisfied, but within the first two weeks, there are more important things to work out -- like cravings.

      Don't beat yourself over this -- it is not worth it. Keep up the great work!

        Yesterday was a very busy day around here so i actually had a very hard time sitting down and eating, so the cheese on my burgers was perfect since i hadnt eaten any earlier in the day. I really didnt eat much at all yesterday, i think that is why i ate both, lol I had a tiny bit of salad for breakfast and a few pieces of pepperoni for lunch. I was really busy running around all day to where at dinner, i had more than enough room to eat both.
        I will continue on to the days where i have been better with eating. My water is great (and i usually hate water) and it beats the 2 per day LARGE Dunkin Donuts Carmel Iced Lattes i have been drinking before i started Atkins! LOL I also cut out my diet Pepsi! If i need something with flavor, like with dinner i will have a cup of Crystal light, but i think i am doing pretty well and just want to drop this fat and be able to post a picture like you one day, except with my shirt on, lol The before and after pictures really keep me going (including yours!! ) That and the fact that i want to be a little hottie again, lol

            congratulations for not eating the buns!!

            You are doing fine
            Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
            Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

            F/60 yrs/5ft 5.5" (Though due to collapsing vertebrae I am now only 5'3" - but I refuse to recalculate my BMI )
