Is it just me or does anyone else wake up in the morning with a very dry mouth and throat almost like you have dehydrated. I tend to have some water besides me at night but i notice this dryness when i first wake up in the morning..
Since I've started drinking water I get real thirsty also and have "cotton mouth" like the old timers call it (especially during the night). I'm not sure if it is because I had some sinus problems and breath through my mouth now or what....but it also continues throughout the day and I just drink more and more each day. I could barely get in six cups of water and now I'm at 98 oz per day and am still thirsty...
I've read somewhere that once you start drinking water your natural thirst returns...I guess all those years that I didn't drink water (or anything) may be catching up with me and our bodies are just craving the water because they did so long without...?
I have always felt dehydrated in the mornings. I try not to drink too close to bedtime as i'll be up and down a few times, but I do have about 16 oz the moment I wake.
