  • What did you Experience during your first Week of Induction?

My Experiences with Induction have always been great. I love the light feeling, and the clarity of mind. The bloat goes away by the first week, and I rise up out of the bed like a champ. What about you?

Hmmm ... I'm only on day 3 today. But, thankfully ... (although the day isn't over yet) I do not have a headache!! So far, I just feel better in general knowing that the yucky sugar is gone. I'm really hungry though ... sticking to the list though but .. the moderation is killing me. I just wanna EAT EAT EAT! I'm sure it'll go away though.
THIS TIME and for the LAST TIME, I will do this!!

I am glad you are feeling better

But if you are hungry - eat something off the allowed foods list!!
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

Oh GAWD, I thought I was dying. Literally. Its those memories that keep me on track to this day, 4 years later. I never want to experience it again!

Yeah me too Betty! I thought I was going to DIE for sure!
Horrible horrible headache for DAYS. (I gave up coffee).
Then TOM showed up (early) and stayed for about 2 weeks!!
OMG. I was dragging my BUTT!! I was up every couple hours during the night to pee. It was gawd awful!
Then one day, I got up and WHAM! I had more energy than I ever had in my LIFE. Needed only a couple hours sleep. I was up and working out by 4am!
Hmm, I wonder what happened to THAT? lol.

I was so sick those first few days!! I am glad I found ADBB and learned it was normal or I would have thought I was doing something wrong. I agree with Betty, its thinking of how sick carbs made me that keeps me from wanting to go back there. NEVER AGAIN!!!
What would we do without it?

              Mini-goal- 149 by June 1st. I can do it!!!

Re: What did you Experience during your first Week of Induction?

My experience has been pretty positive EXCEPT when I included Atkins bars in my Induction. THAT was a huge mistake because it led to tons of cravings. Otherwise...the experience feels amazing...I feel like I don't crave anything and it gives you so much self esteem because you are no longer feeling like food controls you. You control you for the first time in a long time. This feeling is so empowering and amazing. The self-respect is enough reason never to let go.

Fortunately, I've never experienced the headaches and the description of Induction flu...but right now I'm having a weird liquid retention in my abdominal cavity. I'm not sure if it is Atkins related but I'm going to have some blood work done today to make sure I'm ok.

Toodles and good luck to all!

The good thing about this WOE, is that you can EAT EAT EAT, but you have to eat, the right foods! Try keeping snacks handy between meals. Celery sticks and blue cheese, pork rinds, string cheese. KUTGW!

It had been a great experience! I did not have the headaches or flu that alot of people get. The first thing I noticed was my energy was up and the bloating my stomach was going away.

I did induction 100% cheat free and was not hungry.

Man, I was soooo sick. I remember sitting on my back deck with my mum drinking a glass of water and out of nowhere I just threw up everywhere. Geeze, I was sick. I had massive caffeine-withdrawal headaches too. All told, I was miserable for about five days but when I woke up on the 6th day....wow...I honestly felt amazing. I'll never forget that feeling!
