  • im not hungry...

    Im on day 5 and yesterday and today i didnt want to eat breakfast.I made myself eat some cheese yesterday for breakfast and water.Today the same.Is that ok if i only do that for 1 or 2 days out of the week?Now for lunch yesterday i had a cucumber gutted w/vinager and season salt,slice of cheese,water.Dinner i had sauted pork chops,3 mushrooms,couple of onion pieces,sugar free lime jello a few bites.I also am on day 3 of the tred mill 30 mins. a day for starters.Next week hopefully i can get adjusted to 1 hr. a day and more sit ups to 30 sit ups a day,wanna get to 100 of those soon.So is the breakfast thing gonna ruin my induction b/c i wasnt hungry.Is it impearitive i eat breakfast if i eat good the rest of the day???

    I am sure someone will comment on the rules and breakfast and all that, but I just want to say that I am on day 6 and isn't it great not be a slave to food anymore? I mean I don't really even think about it anymore. I have to make myself make dinner (mostly for the kids sake!) and then I change a portion of it so I can eat it...but if it weren't for them...I guess what I am trying to say is...I love this point. This point that when your bored, you don't have to go grab something just because, just becuase it is 9pm and you haven't eaten since 5 pm dinner you have to grab something else, and for lunch and dinner you don't have to eat a whole darn plateful...and sometimes seconds...to feel full!!! This is what I was waiting for...FREEDOM! WHOO HOOOOO!

      You really should eat breakfast because it helps to get your metabolism going.

      Breakfast doesn't have to be a large affair with omlettes, bacon, sausage, etc. It can be something like a hard-boiled egg and an ounce of cheese, or an ounce of cheese and a few veggie sticks, or a chicken leg leftover from last night's dinner. This morning my breakfast was a slice of leftover roast turkey breast with a slice of Havarti cheese.

      So, you don't need to eat large amounts of food in the morning (or at any meal for that matter). Don't worry so much about having too few calories at this point. Your body won't let you starve and eventually, you'll have some days where you'll eat more than others---that's perfectly normal.

        I know stephanie.Before i just wanted to eat b/c the food was there,mainly junk,sugar.I have an 8 yr old and a b/f who love to eat fast food and fried food.Since i started my diet they have been very supportive and want to eat healthy as well.I still have to make sweet tea for them,and make their dinner seperate they love speghetti.I am glad my cravings are gone.Just hope i didnt ruin the induction process by not eating enough breakfast.

          ty not2late.I have been eating cheese for 2 days for breakfast.Lunch and dinner are fine i eat.The small amount of cheese satisfied me and water.

            If that's the amount that satisfies you, then it's the right amount for you. Just remember though, it's okay to have a small snack between meals. So on the days you are "hungrier", you can have a small snack.

              In my opinion it is very important to eat a full breakfast and leave the house full in the morning. A good start to a long day. A good breakfast will stave off cheating, binges and unwelcome cravings.

              I personally feel it is important to eat something first thing in the morning even if you aren't hungry. Not being hungry is normal, especially in the beginning phases of ketosis. But regular meals with healthy food, let the body know you are going to keep taking care of it, and it is safe to release the extra fat stores.

              If you skip meals, your body is back to never knowing when you are going to feed it. The body has no concept of a full refrigerator.

              Also, there have been scientific studies also that show that eating something in the morning kick starts the metabolism.
