  • FORCING myself to EAT?????

    WOW! I would have never thought the day would come that I actually have to MAKE myself eat!!! I mean ... I did so well with induction last week. I can already tell that I am NOT thinking of food! And, when I do make something to eat, I'm eating it slow and ... I'm finding that I'm not finishing what I do make. I have never viewed veggies or cream cheese items to be AWESOME but ... they are!

    I just HOPE ... HOPE I can continue to do this!!! I know I can ... I just keep remembering that I've given up before ... ugh! I don't feel like going and buying a bag of oreos though so .. that's good.
    THIS TIME and for the LAST TIME, I will do this!!

    Female / 36 / Ohio
    Starting Weight: 218 - 3/13/06
    CONTINUING WITH INDUCTION!
    Mini Goal: 10 pounds by April 19th! - Nails done for reward.

    looks like you have discovered the benefits of Atkins and the appetite suppression of ketosis.

    Now about this forcing yourself to eat I hope that is cause you are at the 6 hr mark since your last eating and you are having only a small protein/fat snack with some of your carbs ( veggies).

      Yes, 2big is right; you must eat no less than 6 hours apart ... to keep the metabolism furnace burning!

        Good job.....
        You dont need hope to stay focused, just look at what you have already accomplished. Imagine what 2 months will bring!!
        Thats not hope, its results.
        Another day, in a new weigh!!!

            Oh, I'm eating just as much as I should. I'm not going past 6 hours or even close for that matter. I am in LOVE with celery and cream cheese!!! Just in LOVE! A few stalks for my a.m. snack and then I have a good portion of veggies and a good piece of meat for dinner ... then I make some burned cheese (lol ... cheese on a plate in the microwave!) for an evening snack. And, I'm normally pretty good.

            Last night I stayed up late watching - of all things - TITANIC! It's a 3hr 14m movie! It was HARD getting through it without wanting something but ... I did it!!!!! I filled my water bottle up ... and chewed a tiny quare of cinnamon (NO CARBS!!) gum! That really got me through.

            Half of my battle will be in getting through the 8:00 p.m. - bedtime hours without hogging out on something. But, truly I can do this.

            And ... this morning, I was running late and didn't have time to grab anything before I left. I had to stop at the gas station and get gas. I was SO hungry and everything from french fries to a filet of fish sandwich ran through my head! I didn't do that either! I am amazed! I went home as fast as I could ... and made myself a nice chicken salad - salad. I was then happy and satisfied!

            So ... I'm eating. I'm just really in amazement about how my pangs of temptation come and I've been fighting them. It's HUGE HUGE HUGE for me!!!!!! Huge!!!

            Thanks again all ...
