Ok, I was going to start Atkins on Monday, but I made the fatal mistake of not clearing the kitchen of junk and preparing properly, I just decided Im going to do it Monday, but I didn't plan properly. I was going to do it on my own as I felt it wasn't fair to ask my hubby to go on it with me again (by the way my hubby is very slim & has a very active job, he just has a little budda belly and only needs to lose a stone- stone/half ((he calls it his winter belly LOL!) as last time I feel I let him down by wussing out after a week. But when my hubby realised that I was trying to do it again he imediately said "i'll do it with you" and " I like the Atkins way of eating" (arhh, aint he a doll!). So we decided we would spend the rest of this week getting rid of the naughty food and getting prepared and getting a shopping list together for friday so we are prepared to start on Saturday.
Also for me, being prepared is about getting in the right frame of mind and that just wasnt happening for me on Monday, I just wasnt ready. So since then I have been on ADBB everyday just reading everything I can and reading the book again everyday and I feel like I'm really ready now. Reading some of your posts has been brilliant you all really have some really inspirational and encouraging things to say. I know that ADBB is going to play a big part in me getting to my goal.
Also, (big news!!!) me and my hubby have decided that we want to try for a baby
I am really excited!!! But we have decided it would be better for me to lose the weight first. I want my body to be in tip top shape and I want to be able to look after my baby to the best of my ability and I that wouldnt be possible with the weight I im at the moment!
I am lucky because my dad is doing Atkins and my mum helps by cooking and pre-preparing meals for him, and my brother is very atheletic so he really appreciates the Atkins way even though he doesnt need to lose. I've also got my father in law on the Atkins wagon LOL.
So, I really have some motivation now and I know from looking through the board you will play a part in helping me acheive my goal. Everywhere I turn there will be my family, friends and ADBB, a real support network!
