  • Week 2 lost only 3 lbs.

    Week two and i only lost three pounds . If anyone has any ideas on how i can lose more please tell me , i have lots to lose.

    Tanya, is this your first day of week 2, meaning day 8? Or the end of induction?

    Post a menu and maybe we can help by looking at what you eating.

        Stay the course, post your diet and maybe it needs some tweaking. Also, what day exactly are you on?
        Another day, in a new weigh!!!

          I can see there are five members viewing this thread right now...who's going to get to it first!!

          How much did you expect to lose?

          Either way, are you: doing your non-negotiable exercising, drinking your water, taking your vitamins? Is it near the TOM? Are you staying under 20 carbs, eating enough vegetables, and staying AWAY from frankenbars, frankenshakes, and frankencandies?

              Can you post a menu? Have you read the book?? Do you eat the bars, shakes, and low carb candies? If you do, this is the problem. We need more information, please.
              What would we do without it?

                Its a reason to celebrate. Please remember also that you can lose inches and even entire sizes while showing no scale movement at all. Rejoice in your success!!!!

                  SweeT T, hi I'm Sweet T too........well it's my jewelry business name anyway.... I just finished my two week induction and I lost 9 pounds. Make sure you're drinking enough water and eating enough fat. I find the more fats I eat the more I lose. This is my second time on Atkins, but my father passed away last year and I've been very depressed. I tend to eat junk because I'm home alone making jewelry all day and pick, pick, pick..... I got the summer clothes out and everything was too tight. I decided I'd rather be healthy thin and happy!

                      congrats on sticking it out 14 daysand shedding 12 pounds! ( if I'm reading your siggy right you lost 12 pounds for the entire 14 days and only 3 pounds for the second week. is that ruight?)

                      I know you are disapointend right now cause you didn't get a bigger loss, but the good thing is if you keep doing induction your body can heal your metabolism and increase your losing. did you see your doctor before you started for the blood work Dr Atkins recommends? if not you should see your doc just to make sure you aren't defiecnt in some needed metabolic hormones.

                      Now are you using DR ATKINS NEW DIET REVOLUTION 2002 edition chapter 11 induction and only eating the foods listed as acceptable and only eating to satisfy your hunger and stopping? mnay folk over eat their atkins because Dr Atkins didn't give us poirtion sizes for the proteins and fats and left it up to us to control our portions by telling us to only eat enough to satisfy hunger and by restricting out carbs to control our blood sugars so hunger would be controlled better.

                      What are you doing for the mandatory exercise part of your Atkins. I know with 246 pounds you might think you can't but asny extra moving you do counts as exercise be it walking from the back of the lot to the door it counts.
