  • Day One of Fourteen

    Well today is almost done and I feel pretty good. I am under my 20 carbs for the day and still havent had my dinner. For me the hardest part is getting through the first 3 days. I feel tired at first...but am more determined than ever to prove I can do this.

    I have to....I really want to feel better about myself and hopefully when I make it through the 14 day induction my cravings will be gone and I can start my WOE.

      Thank you. To be honest w/ you I have never felt more welcome than I do here. I am so glad to finally find a place where we are all striving for the same thing.

        It sounds as if you are off to a good start
        Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

            Yeah, rock on! I am on my 5th day. The first two were utter **** but by the third day I was feeling the euphoria that Dr. Atkins hinted towards in his book. Plus, I started my exercise regimen (jogging) last night and I had an ephemeral but shimmering moment to Goldfrapp. This diet really works!

              Today was a little tougher than yesterday but I ended up eating two tuna rolls and three scrambled eggs. Oh and snacked on peanuts. So I think I right at my carb intake. I hate trying to measure out my peanuts lol.

                Are you on Induction? No peanuts on Induction. Also, are you eating your veggies??
                What would we do without it?

                    Well a tuna roll is just tuna wrapped in a low carb tortilla. And I dont really like veggies...so the answer is no. No vegetables.

                    And I thought I could have peanuts during induction?? I guess I need to go back and read my book again...

                      sorry but no low carb tortillas either, not till the legumes or wheat rung depending on what they're made of. You might want to print the induction foods list that in one of the stickys at the top of this forum. If it's not on the list...dont eat it.

                          I think you are on track. But skip on the peanuts until you are done with induction. Try some veggies, you need them. Try new ones so that you can build a taste for them. good luck and keep posting your progress, it will keep you motivated as well as others.

                            Thanks Raelynn...I am printing out what I can eat right now and will go to the grocery store.

                            See my problem is I was a member of a board that wasnt strict Atkins but always said that Atkins and would eat peanuts, l/c tortillas, the sugar free candies etc....but I am realizing now that I dont think I have ever really done Atkins to the letter...so I am going to do it now.

                            I want to thank everyone again for the information that was given...very helpful.
