  • new to board

    Hi everyone,

I recently ran across this board and have been reading for a couple of weeks so I decided to sign up and introduce myself.

I was on the Atkins diet in 2001 and lost 70 pounds. Then I switched to a few other diets, and gradually got down lower. The last diet I was on was Weight Watchers, and I realized that I was so hungry on that diet and that it wasn't the right one for me. So I bought the Atkins' book (I had given my old copy away a long time ago), and reread it this past week. I started Induction yesterday, and I'm hoping to do well again this time around. It's a big change again from all the foods I ate on Weight Watchers, but checking out this forum and reading everyone's questions and answers has helped alot.

I plan on trying out the Mock Danish tomorrow, it sounds so good.

I currently have the Induction 'flu', and I've been sweating like crazy while I'm sleeping. Is that normal?

It's nice to meet all of you. I hope we can all help support each other.

    Diana,
I am on Day 3 (hey, almost got this one done too). Anyway, welcome to the board. I have had a headache, nausea, feeling like I am going to pass out, and night sweats. I am thinking it is normal.

It's good to hear I'm not the only one. I was a little worried because I didn't ever remember this 'flu' the last time I did it, but that was so long ago I might have blocked it out.

        Diana,

At least I think the problems mean I am doing it properly.

Make sure you drink LOTS of water and eat your 3 cups veggies, that will help the Induction flu pass quickly.
Take care and keep us posted!
What would we do without it?
