Re: Hi am a newbie and I am already discourged help needed
First off, and I am being completely honest, starting over is harding than starting because you have already given yourself room for failure once. It becomes too easy to rationalize 'circumstances' under which you can justify cheating or slipping.
That being said, you need to wrap your mind around why you did it as well as why you want to lose weight to begin with. Nobody here is less than human and we aren't going to judge you for being less than 'perfect'! Log on here, start a journal in the chats section and get some support for yourself! It is a lifesaver for me.Jennifer

Re: Hi am a newbie and I am already discourged help needed
Of course your body will respond to this way of eating! No worries about that. You just have to be ready to meet the next challenging time and overcome it. This is definitely not the type of plan you want to allow yourself to hop on and off of...You can become resistant to losing weight by doing that on any plan. Prepare your self for a similiar way of feeling as you had when you started before...You know being tired, etc. Your energy and all the good effects like appetite suppression will come back in a couple of days.
Prepare for the next time you are without food. Have snacks or whatever ready - just don't be without a plan!
You are worth whatever effort this will take on your part. Don't sell yourself short! Give it all you've got!Jennifer

Re: Hi am a newbie and I am already discourged help needed
One thing that I forgot to mention...I don't know if you gained weight during your 3 day cheat but don't expect to lose another 7 pounds in 4 days. You may, but you may not. You don't want to set yourself up for a let down by expecting the exact same result. It doesn't necessarily mean you are doing anything wrong. There is just something magical about that very first induction period. That is why you are strongly encouraged to make the most of it and don't slip during those two weeks! A good clean induction is the absolute best gift you can give yourself!
Drink extra water and get some extra exercise in (even if it is just a little walk daily or something) so you can minimize the effects of your cheat!Jennifer

Re: Hi am a newbie and I am already discourged help needed
Weigh yourself tomorrow morning, then stay off the scale till your 2 weeks are up. Remember, its just a number. This is about getting healthy, the thin part is just a perk! You can do it, trust me. I have lost 23 pounds, and not other diet has ever worked for me. Everyone makes mistakes, so don't hate yourself for it. Tomorrow is another day and you will do it!!
What would we do without it?

Re: Hi am a newbie and I am already discourged help needed
I slipped and fell off the Atkins wagon last year and it took me a long time to get back here. However, I think you are smart to come right back to the
and to the plan. I think you will be fine if you start anew tomorrow and look toward the future.
