My daughter had her first little birthday party (she is 2 and had a blast) with her best friend at daycare on Saturday. Of course there was cake, icecream, and chocolate chip and sugar cookies and nothing else to eat. Before I left I had breakfast (eggs and sausage), then snacked on pork rinds and had lots of water. Forgot to eat lunch!!!!! Which is a miracle in itself because I have never been one of those people who forget to eat. I didn't even want to eat the cake, icecream of cookies which was the 2nd miracle of the day. I had water and diet soda, which is not the greatest thing to have, but better than all the sweets. Then when we got home I had baked chicken and mushrooms. All in all for me it was a sucessful day even with the diet sodas. Not a perfect day but a day without obsessing on food. And my baby girl had so much fun she didn't want to leave.
