  • Favorite Dish For Induction

What is your favorite recipe for induction? Not anything too fru-fru, just something basic and meaty. (hint anything with cauliflower, broccoli, asparagus, or brussel sprouts are automatically disqualified)

I tried the hamburger pie and it was ok, though I'm not sure we did it right.

    Thanks a bunch.

boiled chicken , nice plump breasts done in pressure cooker (keep the liquid for soup or to pour over it) ,6 meat balls (I buy them from supermarket- and contain lard and sausage meat ) very tasty ......it keeps any hunger pangs at bay , believe me!!
    Good luck,

I would vote for chicken breast with one slice of bacon underneath and one on top then wrapped in baking foil and baked till done then opened up and a slice of cheese put on top and left in oven or under grill to melt - absolutely deelish!!
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

Biscuit...what vegetables DO you like?? Maybe that'll help us out.

We do alot of grilled stuff here, steak, pork, chicken. The veggies you listed are all my favorites, but add squash to the list LOL

I like to make a sauce for my veggies/meats with butter, parmesan and heavy cream.

I grilled a family pack each of drumsticks and thighs over the weekend....hopefully, that will keep any urges contained

the only veggies I like are ...fried okra (probably not allowed anyway), pickled okra, corn, raw carrots, and potatos if that's a vegatable, dunno for sure

veggies that I will eat, but don't like all that much

salad, regular lettuce only, tomatoes, cucumbers, green beans

I will have to try the chicken with bacon and cheese, that does sound good

my favorite induction friendly recipes were for curry chicken ...I posted and there are a few posted in the cooking chat that are induction legal ....there is something so wonderful with all the flavors in a good curry ...that it never left me feeling cheated of anything

another was shrimp Mozambique and I am sure there is a recipe for that as well I know Barb posted one

I like making "mock" burritos: ground beef, chopped green peppers, cheese, sour cream all wrapped in lettuce.

Have you tried aubergines (eggplants), biscuit?

I peel and slice them and brush them with oil, sprinkle spices on them and bake them in the oven!!

You can do the same with courgettes (zuccini) or (marrows) summer squash.

I might could go for a burrito wrapped in lettuce, I'll have to try that

                          eggplants...
nah, I haven't tried them, but knowing my track record with veggies, the chances that I would like it, isn't good

btw, elizellen, your before an after pictures are amazing, you are an inspiration to us all, thanks for leading the way

my favorite dish that excludes veggies (I was going to say chicken stir fry) would be pizza chicken.

brown each side of chicken until done, place in a baking dish- top chicken with pizza sauce or lc spaghetti sauce, pepperoni, any other toppings you like, and mozzerella cheese. cook at 350 for approx 20 min.
