I was so bummed when I did my weigh-in this week, that I was motivated to hit the gym (finally) after about 3 months of not going. So far my "workouts" have been walking, running up & down stairs (for my BBQ party), and yoga. This week I was serious -- and by golly, when I weighed my this morning I was down from 190 on Monday to 186! Woohooo!
Tonight I'm hitting the gym for another 1.5 hrs AND doing yoga with my girlfriends. This is exactly the butt-kicking I needed to start doing some serious exercising.
By the way, a couple of my friends have been commenting about how good I look these days. Frankly, even with the numbers and my clothes feeling a little loose, I haven't really felt like I've accomplished anything so far, but hearing 3 different people about how the weight loss is really apparent on my face (I have very chubby cheeks!), midsection and butt (my problem areas) was the affirmation I needed.
