    Re: 3 questions

you dont want to drink much more then a gallon of water a day, but you must get at least 8 glasses a day (your body needs more water on this diet to get rid of the keto's ). diet drinks are ok once in a while but you do not want to drink them alot, they can trick your body into thinking its getting sugar( does not happen often but I have heard of it) and also diet drinks can increase your hunger. not sure on the seltzer question, but please try to drink only water as the other kind of drinks are not very good for you. and will not keep you hydrated ( flush out the fat)like water will.!

      Re: 3 questions

Hi. I know there is something about drinking too much water, but I seriously doubt that a normal person could take in that much, if you are right at or a little higher than 100 that is good. Rule of thumb is to take your weight that you are now and divide in half. Drink that many ounces per day as your quota. I am 165 so I should be drinking 83 ounces a day, which I usually take in closer to 100.

Is the Diet Rite made with splenda? Is it caffeine free? Here is the quote of induction beverages.

      Acceptable Beverages
Be sure to drink a minimum of eight eight-ounce glasses of water each day, including:

      Filtered water
      Mineral water
      Spring water
      Tap water
Additionally, you can have the following:

Clear broth/bouillon (not all brands; read the label)
      Club soda
Cream, heavy or light (limit to two to three tablespoons a day; note carbohydrate content)
      Decaffeinated coffee or tea*
Diet soda made with sucralose (Splenda); be sure to count the carbs
Essence-flavored seltzer (must say "no calories" and should not contain aspartame)
Herb tea (without barley or any fruit sugar added)
Lemon juice or lime juice (note that each contains 2.8 grams carbohydrate per ounce); limit to two to three tablespoons
*Excessive caffeine may cause unstable blood sugar and should be avoided by those who suspect they are caffeine dependent. Everyone should try to avoid caffeine. Grain beverages (coffee substitutes) are not allowed. Alcoholic beverages are also not permitted during Induction; those low in carbohydrates are an option, in moderation, in later phases.

Sorry I don't know anything about seltzer but someone should be along shortly that can answer that question for you.

      Good Luck! Happy low carbing!

I dont think we have seltzer water over here but I think it is just carbonated water, so as long as the ingredients list doesnt list sugar or any other sweeteners then it would be fine to count it as part of your water intake sa far as I know.
If it does have sweeteners then you need to stick to the '3 servings' rule and count it as extra to your minimum intake of water!
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
