  • Hey there everyone

    How are we all doing.

    Just thought i'd poke my head round the door and see how you all are.

    I'm doing great and drinking tonnes of water and reading DANDR and going on my treadmill.

    I've decided not to weigh myself until the first person says to me "Blimey Lou, you've lost some weight". I think if I don't think of Atkins as anything "Different" and just keep ploughing on then that will help me get through this.

    Anyway, thought i'd say Hi and let you know that I am still here. Going to go and read some threads now

    I am glad to hear you are still going strong, Lou!!
    Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

    F/60 yrs/5ft 5.5" (Though due to collapsing vertebrae I am now only 5'3" - but I refuse to recalculate my BMI )

      I've had a few weak moments I don't deny but i've just drank a glass of water, lol I want to do it so much and I do really enjoy ATKINS and the food on it. It's just those weak moments which seem to zap me

        I usually try not to weigh in too often because it makes me crazy, and because I've maintained at 150 for so long, but...since you asked, ahem...
        I got on the scale this morning, just sure I was way up because I've eaten bacon for the first time in ages and ages, and TOM snuck up on me, yet...I'm down 3 pounds! (On day 5 of induction...all clean, no crap.)

        Doin' the happy puppy dance over here....I just can't get over that I had REAL CREAM and BACON and I lost weight.

        Crazy stuff. Why'd I wait so long to check out Atkins???

        I guess it's time to head to tickerfactory and get a ticker!

          hi lou, iv just started so its going ok for me a the moment. had my first real test last night , i bought my husband some really nice organic chocolatte ,no problem with that, till he said" this is really good" & offered me some it took me a few seconds of stareing longingly at it but i did resist . so i feel all impowered now till the next time

            That is fantastic news hun Congratulations, keep up the good work.

            I know this sounds mad but i'm trying to keep away from the board too often, so it doesn't remind me that i'm doing something different, does that make any sense. I used to live on the board and all I thought about was how I was doing something different, if that makes any sense, but I love coming here and sharing.

              That is brilliant news hun, i'm so proud of you. That is where I struggle, not giving in to those weak moments. It's amazing because I eat mainly protein and fat anyway but every so often my brain and stomach just want some cereal. Of all the things to want

              It's not easy is it but I think once you have those weak moments cracked then you have this wol under your belt for certain.

              So what do you eat in an average day?

                Congrats Lou on everything going so well for you. Just remember, we always need another successful Atkineer around here, so you better tell us what the scale reported. Or you could just post a photo, and I am sure we all will be saying, "Blimey Lou, you've lost some weight!"
