    Hi everyone! I'm new here. I started the Atkins diet yesterday. I woke up today and have lost 2 pounds already! I didn't expect that, but I was extremely happy. A couple of years ago, I tried this diet and didn't make it past induction. But I had lost 7 pounds in 14 days, then I started loading my carbs in again. I tried it again a week later, got really nauseous and almost threw up, then decided the diet wasn't for me.

    Obviously, I've decided to give it another try. I'm not really overweight....only about 8 pounds more than I'd like to be. But I gain my weight in my face so any extra pound shows in the one place where I can't hide it! Isn't that just annoying? Most people could just wear a baggy shirt when they gain a few pounds. But I can't cover my face so I always get really frantic when I gain anything. This diet should keep me from overeating like I always do since my food options are so limited. Last time I tried it, I didn't have an appetite and had trouble getting down more than 600 calories a day. Which is VERY unlike me! I love to eat!

    Anyway, I just wanted to introduce myself and my story. Good luck to everyone! Gotta go to work now.
