  • 9 down!

Okay i've been on induction now for 13 days and have lost 9 lbs...i seem to be stuck at this weight and dont know why. i'm eating good, drinking at least 100 oz of water a day. i guess i need to remeasure myself to see if i've lost inches. just discouraging because i am being good. its been like 4 days at this loss but i guess i should just be happy that i've lost so much so far. i just started exercising too so hopefully that'll give me a boost....

oh and i had one question. i have no idea where to find xanthum gum. what is it exactly?

    Re: 9 down!

The exercise may have triggered your body to start retaining more water and you may be able to attribute some of the stalling to muscle gain. Just as long as you're not going UP, I think you're fine. I know we're supposed to be exercising regularly during induction but I have to confess that mine is regulated to brisk walks on the way to and from the train, so I've continued to lose throughout the entire process.

Xanthan gum is a powder milled from the dried cell coat of a micro-organism called Xanthonomonas campestris, grown under laboratory conditions. It replaces the gluten in yeast breads and other baking. It is available in health food stores and specialty grocery stores.
