ive been struggling for 4 years with atkins on off on off on off i started at 316 im now 350s does this back and forth make you gain?????? i want to start all over on monday but i just dont know. please help

Dr. Atkins wrote that hopping on and off the low carb wagon might increase your metabolic resistance to weight loss. But all is not lost. You might also want to move onto OWL after the minimum 14 Day Induction. Don't freak out. Contrary to popular belief, you still lose weight during OWL. Don't let that "slower weight loss" thing fool you. Slower weight loss can be losing 4 pounds a week instead of 4.5 pounds. OWL is On-Going Weight Loss phase (emphasis on "on-going weight loss"). The food freedom of OWL keeps alot of folks from falling off the wagon.
re-read your book and make a committment to yourself. Just remember you ARE worth the effort you will be putting into your Atkins.

Take it from someone who was in your position, start now, start today.
You have to summone the power within you (That I know you have)!
You have to concentrate all your energies like a laser on this task.
Read chapter 11 of the book, and make it your bible, follow it to the letter!
You have done this before, what you need to do is apply that mental power you have.
The plan works, you have to use.
Your weight will only go up and up (This happenned to me!)
Be prepared that you will have to eat this way for the rest of your natural life. This is teh harsh reality of all weight loss plans.
Cut out all the doubt, simplify everything, submit yourself to the plan.
It will happen!

I know I do not have as much of a battle as a lot of people on this forum, but I know how it feels to think that your weight is spiralling out of your control and therefore you just give up, but it really is starting that is the hardest thing - you KNOW this WOE works.
This time next week you'll wish you started sooner! It's really easy once you're off - and you still get to eat loads of great food!
I really hope you conquer this thing - YOU ARE IN CONTROL OF WHAT YOU EAT!!

Don't put your focus on what you weigh and have anxiety about that.
Put your focus on eating healthy everyday and staying full. There are lots of people here who started and restarted and finally made it. Let this time be the final time for you.
It requires a decision to begin nurturing yourself.
You can do it.

Absolutely start as soon as you can and take it a day at a time.
It's a mental battle. Everytime you make a decision to eat the right food over the wrong food. You Win. You get stronger, and the next day is easier.
A day to long? You win if you make it from breakfast to lunch, then you set your next goal.
You mentioned you've been on & off over the last 4 years. My question to you is what made you go off plan those other times? How come you didn't get straight back on the very next meal?- What can you do to change that or remove that temptation this time around?
You could be reading this post next year as a completely different person if you take the controls on Monday.
Time will pass.. you may as well do something for yourself with it.
I know you can do it.
