  • Day 10: Am I still feeling the "flu" effects?

Hey everyone, just wanted to check in on something.

I have been feeling lightheaded, very tired, wierd and flaky the past week, and while I had been attributing it to induction flu, it's lasted so long I'm starting to wonder!

I am still very very tired during the day, could that still be my body coming down off the carbs? And the lightheaded/dizzyish feelings, is that part of it as well? I just don't know why I still feel crappy and not full of energy.

    Thanks!

Post your menu in the Review My Menu section.

A common mistake folks make is that they eat very, very, very low carb (we're talking 1-5 net carbs daily). You do need some carbs for your bod to function.

You know, that might be some of it. I'm a super picky eater, and on Atkins I pretty much have NO appetite. So I tend not to eat enough, I don't think. What I do put in my mouth I have to force, unless it's something I shouldn't be having (I.E. 2 roasted peanuts from my husband who is in OWL).

IF your appetite has diminished so that you are inadvertently skipping meals, you'll need to follow the 6 hour rule and you might want to consider eating 4 or 5 snack-meals throughout the day.

Just remember, those vegetable carbs are very important, so make sure you eat them with some fat and protein.

I'd watch eating peanuts too. Many people have food intolerances to things they eat on a regular basis without even knowing it. Nuts, grains and dairy are foods that many people have allergies to or have food intolerances.
