  • whooohoooo!!!!!

Wow, Am I excited. Here is a quick intro to myself since I have been lurking here for quite some time. I am a 29 year old teacher. Have been heavy most of my life. Did reach a low weight at one time after having some VEry hard issues in High school to deal with...competed with my sisters who were anorexic...so the easiest way for me o lost was to exercise with them and just so I could continue to get the satisfaction of the taste of food would binge and purge. Continued this life style for years....In college, my the man of my dreams, no more being treated poorly, he treated me like a princess...slowly began putting on pounds got married at 170, 2 year late pregnancy shot up to 280. After my 2nd child back down to 190-195, but not able to get any lower. For the last 3 months I have been following "the Idiot proof diet" which did work, I have was down to 175. Have been at a stand still....SOOOO I decided to give the atkins a try. I have tried before, but not whole -heartedly. NOW I AM GOING TO DO IT!!!!! IN 1 week, I am down7 pounds. YYYEEEAAAAHHHH!!! I am feeling so good about myself. I am going to take my 5 year old to the library tonight to sign out a book and I am signing aout DA's book. Wish me luck on this journey. I have been looking to the boards to give me encouragement through out this week and what a help it is . School is out the end of this week, so I will have time to devote to this WOE and learn how to make a committment for life

Oh, also have to add rode 6.8 miles on my mountain bike this a.m. in the rain--- I feel so good about myself.

          Re: whooohoooo!!!!!

This forum is enourmous but the longer you hang out here, the easier it will get to find stuff.

It took me like 3 days to find the right spot for the exercise challenges. lol. They are a little lower down in the forum. There is one for the 6 week challenges, which is all about general exercise, and a seperate one for just one specific exercise that you commit to for the month, i.e., abs, stairs, pushups, etc.

Congrats on your excitement!! That stuff is contageous! You got me all fired up for you. lol. We can do it and do it without suffering. I'm nearing the end of my 2 week induction and I've had the best time on Atkins.

Welcome to the club and just jump on in and post away!
