Today marks my last day on induction. I've held steady at 16 pounds lost. The past few days weight loss has stalled but I am still losing inches.

I've decided that I'll jump now to the first rung of OWL. I'm excited but nervous about it. I keep dreaming that I'll start gaining again and I gain back the entire 16 pounds overnight.

The nice thing about all this is all the compliments I am getting from my DH. He's definately noticing how much all this has affected my self esteem. I carry myself better and generally feel more self confident and it shows.

I can't thank all of you wonderful people here who've answered all my endless question--and I'm warning you, I'm here to stick around. ^.^

I can't wait to be one of those people who can attest to have lost 100+ pounds and help others here.

So on I go to OWL. Wish me luck!!

Meena, good luck! I think this is wonderful. OWL is great, and I'm proud of you for deciding to move on. There really isn't any need to deprive yourself on induction, unless you are totally okay with the foods you are eating.

Almost everyone's weight loss slows down after the first few weeks...so why not enjoy more foods--especially if you have a long way to go. However, there are many of us who enjoy the foods AND the continuing momentum of weight loss...and there are some who find themselves losing even more than they did on induction.

Thanks Joy. I started this forum thinking that I'd induction my way into about 2 or three months. But after hanging out here and meeting so many great people, I've since changed my mind. I think going slower is better, and I think my body would do better with a bigger variety.

I'm going to take it sloooow though. I want to make sure I've got each rung down before racing off to the next.

      Thanks for the support. ^.^

          weigh to go!!

remember stals are defined by Dr Atkins as 4 weeks of no inches nor sclae loss. what you are experiencing is called a hesitation and is very very normal after the large induction loss. Many folk experience this with any weight loss plan and at this point make the mistake of decideing that the plan isn't working ofr them any more amd quit. make friends with yoiuyr tape meausre so when the scales don't validate the hard woprk you have done working your Atkins it will show you those inches of fat being shed by your body. remebr we morphour bodies doing Atkins shedding fat mass adding muscle mass andfluid mass is in a constant state of flux driving scalephobics crazy!

Enjoy OWL and your 5 net extra induction vegges. pretty hard to gain 16 pounds adding 80 net cals of veggies a day isn't it when you think about it.

hahahaha, sorry. DH=Dear Husband. My hubbykins. It's shorthand around parenting boards.

Thanks so much for all the kind words of support. I'm having so much fun on OWL rung one. And I dropped another 2 pounds! I'm not worried gaining anymore. I think those dreams must have been some sort of worrying about moving out of this comfort zone into the unknown. It's a big step!! lol
