TabeKat is right - you have to change the way you think.
Try reading Stephen Gullo's "Thin Tastes Better" for some very effective techniques on how to reprogram yourself to be empowered about food.
You CAN do this. You may not be ready....I've fallen down and gotten back up I don't know how many times before I "got" it and kept moving forward, continuously, for a couple of years. The important thing is to believe in yourself, believe you have POWER, and keep trying.
You CAN say no. You really can. It's hard, it can feel like fingernails on a chalkboard, but you CAN say NO to food that is not on your plan. Say it out loud if you have to....the first time I yelled at food that was calling my name, I felt like a big looney toon, but it worked .
This board is incredible. Everyone is so supportive and helpful.
I agree with everyone everyone has said on here. You mentioned a holiday and I find that if you have a goal that cant be moved u are more likely to stick to something. Cut out some piccies of where you are going for ur holiday and put them up by the fridge and cupboard and at work so the images will be in ur mind. Do you really want to be the size you are now on that beach (or where ever you are going!) - is what you need to be thinking. I'm off to Florida in Sept and I've got pics of skinny girls in bikini's and beaches on my weight loss chart at work and I know that I've got to keep this up if I want to look stunning walking along that beach!
This board is a massive support to me and if you come here everyday too, you will find out how much. EVERYONE goes through the same thoughts/fears/emotions that you do and you will find that you are not alone. Post here everyday, look at the b4 and after pics, feel the inspiration that GLOWS from this board.
Good luck x
