Welcome! You are here and that is the first major step. I'm not sure I'm qualified to give any advice (just finishing my first 14 days myself) but I'll pass on some of what I have learned here. First, and most importantly, if you don't have the book, get it. If you do have the book, read it again. Everything you need to know is there. Second, if you "fail to plan, you plan to fail." There will always be a reason to break induction, whether it be stress, inconvenience, or rationalizing it to yourself. Remember you are doing this for you and you will be so proud of yourself for sticking with it, not to mention how great you'll look. For me, I always bring a lunch to work so I am not tempted to eat out with co-workers somewhere I won't be able to find something good for me to eat. I also premake 3 or 4 things at the beginning of the week so I can't blame it on laziness or exhaustion. That ties in with my 3rd point, which is, do an overhaul of your kitchen. My boyfriend and I did that on our first day of induction and it is liberating, as well as helps to eliminate the ability to cheat. Fourth, exercize..no matter what you do, whether it be walking your dog for a half hour or running a mini marathon, it will help. Do what you can, and you'll be able to do more soon. Fifth, plan for being tired, having cravings, or having "induction flu" in the beginning. If you minimize your schedule for the week, or come up with ways to deal beforehand it won't be such a problem. Sixth, don't become too friendly with your scale. Limit yourself to once a week. Take your measurements also because sometimes when the scale doesn't move the inches are melting off. If you get stuck one week, don't get discouraged. It happens. Try not to make a pound goal per week, because some weeks it may not get there and you risk getting discouraged. Keep truckin girl! Finally, turn to this board. Everyone here is extremely encouraging and will most likely be able to answer any question. Good luck!

I totally agree with the above poster about planning. Plan and plan and plan. Know what you like that works the plan and ENJOY it. This is the most painless diet ever known, my favorite part is the fat LOL
Also, your goals are very agressive for anybody, but I see you have just had a baby? Hormones, stores and stress all affect weight and weight loss. Having a number goal is great, but I would set some goals you can actually CONTROL, like exercise 10 minutes a day, or 100 oz of water a day, or read DANDR by July1, some goals along those lines.
