  • fell of the wagon. Again!!!

    Hello fellow atkins dieters.

You are all so good at giving advice and venting to that i'm back again with another problem.

I fell of the wagon at the weekend! I was doing soooo well and had gotten past the whole induction flu of bad headache, tiredness etc...

I went out and had a drink! i knew i shouldn't do it but stupidly thought i'd just get right back to it the next day. Well, it's Thursday and i'm only just started doing it again today!!!!!

My question, How do you all manage to say no! i'm not going to have a drink, i'm going to be good? I don't go out often either as i have a little one! I feel so silly as i have been to the gym 3 days a week over the last two weeks and then ruined it all.

How will be able to do this for good if i can't even do it for 2 weeks????

Thank you in advance for any replies as i don't get on too often.

When you are going out try driving your own car. If you are the driver you can't very well drink. That can be a little insurance that you'll stay on plan while socializing on a night out with friends and family.

Stay away from situations where you will drink.

Re: fell of the wagon. Again!!!

The good news is you only had a drink, which I understand to be one. What that means to me you stopped after one and you knew what you were doing wrong. You had the control to limit the failure or misstep to only one negative and didn't compound it with fries or any other carby snack. You can certainly do this. Get back on the horse, and perhaps until you feel ready or able to decline any temptation stay out of the places that would tempt you astray. If you can't, well then start visualizing and rehearsing why you need to turn down the temptation in advance, so it becomes second nature when temptation happens.
