  • caffeine-free vs. decaf

Just learned something cool about "decaf" coffee and tea: "Decaffeinated" means that an item once had caffeine that was removed, but still has trace amounts. In other words, you can still get some of the caffeine effects from decaf items. "Caffeine-Free", on the other hand, never had caffeine so there is absolutely none. Herbal teas, etc.

So . . . if we are trying to get caffeine completely out of our lives, we need to stick with caffeine-free items, not decaf.

    Things that make you go "hmmm . . . . "

Yup, the decaffeination process does not remove all the caffeine.
