  • Keto sticks

Hi again. Only on day 3 so I'm burning with questions. How important is it for the keto sticks to turn purple. I have been really good for the past couple of days and read that my stick should turn purple, but it hasn't!!! Is the "purple stick" the only evidence of burning fat?

    Re: Keto sticks

I never saw anything other than the lightest shade on those pesky sticks!!

    How is your appetite?
Do you have a funny 'metallic' taste in your mouth?
Are you losing weight or inches?

If any of these apply then you are in ketosis
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

      Re: Keto sticks

Hi there. Yes...I do have a strange taste and I've been brushing my teeth like crazy!!!Don't know if I've lost weight. It's only day 3 and I'm trying so hard not to get on the scale. I know I definitely haven't lost inches. Been drinking more water than I ever have in my life and I'm so bloated! I guess that will go away??? My appetite is fine. During the first day or two, I was so hungry that I couldn't stand it. I craved fries or anything with carbs! Today isn't so bad...I'm amazed that I can write about fries without wanting them.

        Re: Keto sticks

Well that sounds as if you are on your way to Keto-dragonbreath territory!!

Now you are finding the appetite diminishing do make sure you dont go mroe than 6 hours without eating 'something' .

Choose a nutritious highfat snack in order not to lose out on minerals and vitamins if you really are not hungry.

So some meat/cheese with a little veggies and perhaps some highfat dressing instead of just a stick of celery like in the old days of rabbit-food dieting!
        Kudos on the water too.
Once your body realises it will be given all the water it needs the retention should go away!

Didn't realize that the "dragon breath" situation was a sign of being in (or entering) ketosis. Won't worry too much about the sticks...thanks!

Not everyone has 'dragon-breath' though - with some (lucky) people ketosis has a sweeter sort of effect!!

For anyone else not sure about it here are the physical signs of ketosis from the FAQ forum
