  • Questions, questions... please answer!!

I have been looking for products.... so I have been having lots of questions... I read the book, but the book was in Brazilian and I am portuguese, and even tho. it's the same language, they have different concepts in some words so here it goes:
    When buying something,

How high can be the "grams" of Carbs per 100 Mg/mL?
Because I can't find carbs free mayonese...

How high can be the "grams" of lipids per 100MG/ML?

How high can be the "grams" of Glicids per 100MG/ML?

    And Proteins per 100MG/ML?

I already know that we don't care about calories, but what about those ?
Please answer to each of them, so I can make guidelines!

    Thank you very much

I dont speak portuguese but I think 'lipids' equals 'fat' and maybe 'glicids' means 'sugars'??

So to follow Atkins you need high fats, medium proteins and low carbs/sugars

There is no actual limit on grams of fat and protein although there is a limit on grams of carbohydrates. On induction we aim at a ratio of 65% fat/30% protein/5% carbs.

The mayonnaise I use has 0.9 carbs per 100 mg/ml, but if it has no added sugars you can use one that has up to 14 carbs per 100 mls (about 7 tablespoons)
Prepared salad dressings without added sugar and no more than two carbs per tablespoon serving are also fine.
So as long as sugar or corn syrup or other sugar aliases are not on the list of ingredients you would be fine.

By the way, I dont know how close the Portuguese and Spanish languages are as I don't speak either, but ADBB does have a Spanish forum which you might find useful too

Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
