    Hi all

I am new to the forum. I have been reading all you guys great WEIGHT LOSSES and ideas and help and support you give to each other.

    THATS INCREDIBLE

I will finish my induction week2 on Monday. Cheated once but soon made up for it and I am not going to cheat again. I lost 2 kgs in the first week. I cant weight to see the total induction loss on monday. I like to have 2 hard boiled eggs with melted cheese on tp for breakfast (throw away yolks as I am allergic to it smtimes). I got a great recipe for making basic flaxmeal bread. I used about 2 cups of flaxseed meal, 5 eggs, 1/3 cup olive oil, water and 2 tsp of splenda. It made 12 slices of bread. It is a good change than just having eggs every morning. I grill 2 slices of bread with some olive oil, oregano, salt pepper, mozerella cheese and 2-3 slices of tomato.

Just wanted to ask how much cheese can I eat every day .. I think 3-4 oz?? I mean I love cheese so whts the maximum I can have.

Secondly how much flaxseed are we allowed everyday. Above recipe made 12 slices.. can I eat 2 everyday ??

The hardest bit on this diet is to measure everything we eat .. I do a rough estimate (as long as I loose weight thats fine).

    goodluck fellow low-carbers

welcome to ADBB and to Atkins. I'd recomend you get a copy of DR ATKINS NEW DIET REVLUTION 2002 EDITION AND READ IT COVER TO COVER.

FLAX IS A SEED AND IS ALLOWED AS A CONSTIPATION REMEDY starting with one T and adding more if needed your breads are 2.5 T each so they will make a fine OWL rung 3 food one day ofr you. right now only if you suffered constipation could you have one. Not2late posted a wonderful recipe for revolution rollz which are induction legal.

Cheese is limited in induction to 3-4 ounces a day of aged cheese when you get to OWL you can add more on the 2nd rung.

      Hi 2big

Thanks for your reply. I actually got constipation(not very serious but yeah as compared to pre-atkins diet). can I eat one slice of this bread which I made occasionally (2-3times a week), or you reckon I should stop it completely.

I know soft cheese is not allowed on induction but are we allowed to have PANEER (indian cottage cheese in stir frys)??

I drink about 8-10 glasses of water everyday. Also 2big, is 2 kg weightloss in first week of induction too less?? I was 77Kgs when I started and my height is 5'4" and I am 28 years old female.

ehhhm quick question , what do you all consider soft cheese ???

Because we are alloweed cream cheese which is a soft cheese.. at lesst i thought so .... Hmmmm ?? ideas anyone?

livelanjali , 2 kilos which is about 4 lbs i believe is really good for your first week, personally i have been on induction for about 2 weeks now, and not lost ANYTHING !!! even though i keep to all the rules, drink like 3 liters a day and keep perfect ratios.

SO i think u are doing great ! keep going !

          Hey Bellenza

first of all HUGSSS!! dunno I just feel so good with all of you talking to me.. its like a huge support. Yea cream cheese is definately allowed.. but I guess soft cheeses like cottage and ricotta are forbidden on induction.

How can you not loose anything on induction? must have lost few inches if not pounds?

          thanks again

okay first the bread once you use the stuff for constipation reasons you get to keep using it so whatever it took to unclog you you get to keep eating so one slice will now be part of your induction.

second y'all have the cheese info wrong. it isn't soft cheese. it is fresh cheese that isn't allowed during the 14 days of inductions. soft aged cheeses are allowed like brie. what is referred to as farmers cheese, cottage cheese and ricotta cheses are not allowed until fresh dairy rung 2 of OWL. So if your cheese is aged it is legal but you still oinly get 4 ounces and you got to count those carbs too.

last induction is a 14 day process wait until then and then check your loss against the charts in DANDR to see if you have high low or medium metabolic resistance.

            Happy low carbing

ahh 2big thanks a lot mate! You are right its the fresh cheese not the soft cheese.. I get PANEER forzen.. so its not fresh.. I will check the carb count and see if I choose to eat it occassionally within the 4oz limit. ...

4oz hmm is roughly 120 gms?

no no no you still are not understanding aging is the key. all aged cheese is allowed. unaged AKA fresh cheese isn't allowed even if you do freeze it.

paneer is fresh milk and an acid like vinegar mixed, curdled, and strained. that is fresh no aging involved.

oh I am so sorry 2big, but now I have understood what you mean by AGEING. oh lord I cant eat paneer thats my fav.. but good I did'nt ate too much of it in last 12 days of induction.

2big I asked a ques abt revolution rolls in another thread. Please answer it if you can. If I cant find cream of tartar then what can I use 2 make revolution rolls.

                  thanks for all your help

LOL I just answered your question in your topic. soory for the confusion over the term fresh.

look on the bright side if you are eating it and not having cravings then you will do fine on the second rung of OWL fresh dairy when you get to add 5 net carbs of it if your weight loss can handle it.

potassium hydrogen tartrate is the chemical name if you need to ask the chemist for it.

it should be in the baking section near the baking soda and the baking powder or in the spice rack area.

While on Induction and losing weight, I would use organic ground flax seed meal in my shakes with Eggbeaters (pasteurized and thus safe for use in shakes), heavy cream, 3-4 ounces cream cheese, packet of Splenda or tablespoon of Sugar-Free DaVinci syrup, two handfuls of ice, then blend 20-30 seconds. This would be incredibly satisfying as a nice, cold breakfast shake, and I would stick with the allotted vegetables and meats for the remainder of the day!
