  • revolution rolls

    I wana make revolution rolls which are induction legal. recipe needs CREAM OF TARTAR... I have not seen cream of tartar in stores... is there any subsitute I can use ??? I am in sydney.

    I will go around again on weekend to see if I can get tartar cream but if I dont then pls suggest a subsitute ... I would like to make them really.

    cream of tartar is a standard baking ingredient used to increase the volume of whipped egg whites so you could use a copper bowl instead and skip the cream of tarter or just whip them without it and know yours will not have the same volume and stability as those that use it would.

    it is also used in baking powder to react with the baking soda as the acid to get CO2 bubbles in your product for rising.

      You can do without it. Cream of tartar also helps to prevent over-beating.
