  • Help with induction grocery list?

    I'm 27, 5'7", 250 lbs.

I'm giving myself 8 months to lose 80 pounds. Maybe that's ambitious, but it's my goal and I want it (moving for a job transfer then). I really want to kick this off Monday morning, so I want to go shopping this afternoon.

I like Chicken and Tuna Fish (are the seasoned packs ok?), I'm not big on fish but I'm sure I'll try it after a few weeks just to add some variety. I could search this site and google all day for recipes, but I'm hoping someone can give me 4 or 5 easy meals. I'm fine with repeating them for the first week, I'll be pretty busy but I don't want that to stop me from starting!

If anyone can offer a few suggestions, I'd appreciate it. I'll post more next week, I just want to get induction rolling ASAP.

Individual tastes and preferences makes giving anyone a "set" shopping list very difficult, imo. Especially when there are alot of acceptable foods on the Induction Acceptable Foods list.

So my advise would be for you to sit down with a copy of the Induction Acceptable Foods list in Chapter 11 of Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution, 2002 Ed. See what foods you like and see what foods you might want to try. Then making your shopping list will be much, much more individualized to suit your particular tastes.

I also would advise that you bring a copy of the Acceptable Foods list with you on your shopping trip. That way if you see a food on sale or on special, you won't have to guess if it is okay or not.
