    Hi everyone, I just started atkins yesterday and I am going nuts. I have been craving everything that I cant have!!! But Im going to keep on pushing!! I need to lose 100 pound. Does anyone have any tips on making this process work

    You just need to push thru the first 3 days. I know that i went nuts my first day, worse the 2nd, better the 3rd. After the first week it is great and you will not have any cravings. Just eat induction friendly foods instead of giving in. I found celery was good. It was crunchy, and that is what I needed.

        Hang in there! I'm on day two also. I know it would be so easy to backslide, but I have my goals posted and look at them often. I know I want to be thinner and healthier. If I backslide, I won't meet either of those goals.

        You can do it!!!

          Yep, you've just gotta keep at it. By the end of your first week, you should be through the craving stage and the flu stage. Every time your body starts craving, give it water and a high fat snack.

              I had a solid headache around the third day. A combination of caffeine and sugar withdrawal. My advice is read as many threads all over this site as you can handle, especially the stickies.

                Yeah, I had wicked headaches. I gave up coffee at the same time. Ugh. But it passes and then you will feel AMAZINGLY energetic! Hang in there!!

                  It won't always be hard. Once you go into ketosis your cravings will diminish and it gets easier and easier as time goes on. Have faith, you can do this.
