  • Induction friendly Ribs?

    Hi gang,
I just bought some boneless country style pork ribs at the store. What is the tastiest way to make these induction friendly? I was thinking garlic powder, onion powder, salt, some tomatoe sauce, and toss it all in the crock pot? I HATE artificail sweetner, all of them taste bad to me, so I would like to avoid those, but I LOVE RIBS!!

    Thanks
    Amy

Just slow cook them with ingredients that are induction friendly, and you might be surprised with the results.

    good luck.

What about making them mexi-ribs? Cumin, garlic, salt, red pepper etc in the crockpot. The meat will be falling apart...it would be carnitas. Serve with some guacamole and a dollop of sour cream. Yum.

I love cumin and I love my slow cooker LOL I do beef ribs that way and just love it. You could also put some chopped up chayote squash in there as a sub for potatoes I just love that little vegetable. Some onion and peppers too. Then you'd have a whole dinner in the crock when you get home.

Here's a "recipe" for taco seasoning without the starches and fillers that come in the prepackaged ones.

I get them at the grocery stores around here. If you don't find them in the grocery store, look for mexican grocery stores.

I LOVE ribs! I boil mine for a bit and then put seasoned salt on them and bake them or broil them....sooo good!

Almost any dry rub without sugar will be good as well! Good luck!

Dem ribs is pure, delish grillin' fare. Fire them up with a starch & sugarfree basting or marinade of your fav spices. Simple salt, pepper garlic & smoke flavor is delish!

Oh yeah, get yourself some liquid smoke in any grocery store and marinate your meat in that with your salt, herbs/spices. Deeeeelicious!!!!! You won't need BBQ sauce.

                          Re: Induction friendly Ribs?

                          Hi,

I purchased some plain (no sugar added) BBQ seasoning from the health food store, (make sure you count the carbs, it is low but alot can add up) sprinkled it over the meat, both sides and slow cooked it on the grill for a couple hours, turning constantly. The meat almost fell off the bones. All I can say is.....wow.

It was better than the smoked ribs you buy from the expensive restaurants where they smoke their meat all day. (Of course with out that yucky high carb sugar sauce they pour on them....)

One huge rack of ribs made almost 3 meals. It probably should have been 4 meals, but....when hungry.....eat!!

I like Joy's idea of the cumin too, I'll have to try that one.....cumin adds that smokey flavor you're looking for. Also use liquid smoke, I never seen any that has sugar added to it.

                          Good Luck, Happy Grilling!
