  • Bad Day! :(

I started my Introduction on Sunday, and today I am feeling miserable! I am not a breakfast person, so I am literally forcing myself to eat 2 hard boiled eggs w/3 strip of turkey bacon and a glass of water each morning.

Today, my head is killing me and my stomach is growling.. I have read a couple of chapters in the book and have gotten some good advise from people on the board and all of the support is appreciated!

    Here is my lunch menu:

1 peice of jerk chicken (wing)
    1 cup of String Beans
    2 cups of greek salad

    Any suggestions on headaches?

Just a suggestion - you may want to spread out your veggies over the entire day. It just helps keep your blood sugar level stable.

In fact, it's good to have a little bit of everything at every meal. I like to have a bit of protein, fat and carbs whenever I eat.

    Hope this helps

        Re: Bad Day!

Are you drinking all of your water? A headache is one of the first signs of dehydration, although most people don't realize that. Water is also a very good hunger quencher, it fills your stomach up for a while. But if you're hungry, then you should eat. Unless of course you're at work and then vending machine contains nothing but junk (as does my work). I find that drinking tea - it's decaf green tea - helps for me, especially when I know that there's no way possible I'm hungry; just my mind up to it's old tricks. If you can take a break and run out, go by a grocery store and grab some Induction friendly fare to keep in your desk or the fridge.

It sounds like you might have the induction flu. Do a forum search on it and see what everyone recommends. I'm also on day 4 (starting Sunday) and I haven't had any problems, so I can't help you with that. Ibuprofen or Tylenol would always help. Of course, a massage couldn't hurt either...

For breakfast you can eat anything - it doesn't have to be big and it doesn't have to be eggs. I've been eating BLTs for breakfast. 1 piece of Romaine, sliced tomato, cheese, bacon and mayo, all rolled up in the romaine and it's delish. Quick and easy!

I bet if you'll go check out the journals or the Review My Menu thread, you'll find all kinds of ideas for a menu.

        Hope this helps!

Hello there dear friend, I know the jerk contains sugar unless you're omitting it yourself. You need waaaaay more protein and fat than that; Remember its 65% FAT, 30% PROTEIN, 5% CARBS utilize www.fitday.com Please, Please Please as Jerzaka stated, spread your veggies throughout the day!! That's imperative, along with drinking water like nobody's business, after a while you'll become accustomed to it, and you'll get sooooooooo thirsty that you will want water, but if you ignore filling up your body, then as Ralynda said you will get a headache. Stick with the basics and fill up on what DANDR stipulates. You will lose and you can't go wrong; Keep it simple and results are inevitable!!!!

            Rejoice in your headache!
I know it's awful, but it's the sign that your body is changing and soon, the weight will start falling off!
Drink as much water as you can and I mean litres!!! and take some headache tablets too!
