  • is Beef Jerky allowed for an induction snack?

I was looking at a can of slim jims this morning and wondering if they are okay for a snack while on the induction phase.... I would think they are.. but i"m not sure... here is the nutritional information on the slim jim sticks.. the only thing that seemed concerning to me is the sodium? But I figured you guys would know better than me. It just seemed like something easy to keep on my desk at work for a snack

I'm not sure. I never ate too much of the processed foods. But, just looking at the sodium count scares me.

Thanks for posting the list of ingredients, dotsamantha, which shows clearly that with corn syrup and dextrose in it, it is not really an allowable Atkins snack.

I have just 'won' a dehydrator on ebay, and made some last week with legal ingredients in the marinade which worked out to have no carbs and really tastes good!

You can make your own jerky using an ordinary oven too.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
