I am a bit confused and unhappy right now... I am on day 12 of induction and have only lost 2 lbs... I have followed the plan and nothing ... I don't know if I should be moving onto phaseII next week since I haven't seen any changes while on induction. I am aware the less you have to lose the harder it will be... but I have 26 pounds to lose and I am no where near that... any suggestions on what I need to do differently in order to see results?

Re: Day 12 and only 2 pounds lost
If you only want to lose 26lbs then its very natural only to have lost 2lbs up to now. The average weight loss of induction is around 10% of the total you want to lose. or there or there abouts.sigpic260/215/180 Male - 36 y/o
It never ceases to amaze me of how easy and how effective this ***diet*** is!!
I have since re-gained a bit of weight, but that is soon to be coming off again!

Re: Day 12 and only 2 pounds lost
Do a 2 week clean induction, which I am assuming you have done, and then feel free to move into OWL. It wouldnt do you any harm to stick with induction for a little bit longer if you want. But move into OWL before you get to close to goal or you wont get the full benefit out of the diet.Originally posted by CleanseStarted on 7/10

Re: Day 12 and only 2 pounds lost
Not everyone loses a lot during induction - one of our former admins (who started with 30 pounds to lose in 2002) lost absolutely nothing on induction, but moved on to OWL and worked through the Atkins phases till she reached her goal, which she has maintained till now!!
Use the questions in chapter 13 of DANDR to make your decision on when to move to OWL.
Also read this thread in the stickies of the 14-day forum for a bit more advice on when to move to OWL
http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...ead.php?t=5780Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
