I honestly feel so lightheaded and dizzy at sometimes like I ma going to just faint... I don't remember feeling this way last time I was on induction.. is it normal? I been drinking plenty of water so I amnot dehydrated... I will not even tell my husband as he may blame the diet any ideas? I ahve a cold too..... could it just be from the cold? or induction makes you dizzy too?

    Re: dizzy?

Normal? Not too often. I know from my own personal experience light headedness and feeling dizzy is a sign of low blood sugar.

Eating smaller meals through out the day, instead of just 3 main ones, may help alleveate that problem.

If you still have those feelings after making changes in your daily consumption of foods and have made it past the "Induction Flu" (differs for everyone....3-7 days), I would check with your doctor.

For the most part, I think it's just adjusting to the foods and maybe trying to eat smaller meals.

    Hope this helps a little.

Oh, yeah...hope you feel better. If it's the cold, try to the smaller meals

        Re: dizzy?

I have been getting dizzy since my first week on Atkins... Now, over 7 months later I realize that I get them just before I have a whooshie...
This may not be the case for you and though they suck and sometime are REALLY bad - tingly all over and everything, in a way I'm glad when I get them... Because I know that I'm about to lose some more.
If it continues you might want to check w/ your doctor - better safe then sorry!
Started Atkins on December 8th, 2005

            Re: dizzy?

I have had the same problem!! I did great the first 2 days and then afterwards I ate a Atkins morning bar and i got a horrible Migraine 30 minutes later that lasted 2 days. I have never had a migraine like this before. I talked to one of the doctors in the clinic that I work in and he thought that I was probably sensitive to Aspartamine since I was on the Atkins diet. I have not had anything with aspartamine since and I have been okay. I still get dizzy sometimes but I eat a hard boiled egg and I do okay. I don't know if this helps but it seemed to do the trick for me. LKM

              Re: dizzy?

Thanks sooo much!!!! I will keep thatin mind!
The diet coke I drink I bought them with splenda.. but I have not seen if the protein bars have aspartame. I used to drink diet stuff witrh aspartame all the time so I doubt I am sensitive.... perhaps my body freaked as I had not had it.. I will let you know Thanks
