  • okay I LIED!

    I cant do it! ahh I keep trying and trying so I quit.. i eat a billion carbs.. mmm nachos, cake, buffets, taco bell, mcdonalds.. tripple size and omega size!

    but now i wanna change.


    I want to do it the right way.


    Tell me if what i am doing sounds good.

    30 minutes of cardio exersize 3 days a week
    3 meals each day
    breakfast containing 2 or 3 eggs fried (with butter) and bacon.
    lunch containing a hamburger patty and small salad (what dressing should i use?)
    dinner containing humburger patty or hotdogs or chicken breast with cucumber and mustard to dip..

    does that plan sound good?
    what would u do?
    I wanna do this the right way.

    First I would say buy the book, DANDR (Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution) I believe it is the 2002 edition. Reading the book is essential!! You gotta drinks lots of water!! Water, water, water...it can make or break this endeavor. Anyone have anything else to add? Oh....1 more thing.....double check on that hotdog (weinie) thing. I don't think that is recommended for induction. I assume you are gonna make a clean start with induction. The other meat is good. You want to avoid those processed meats. You may have to hold on the salad too. I need to check. Anyone? Also, vary your food. Don't eat the same thing everyday. It will get old. But go buy the book!! It will help loads....Good luck!!!

      Hot Dogs... ugh. Try to find an all beef version thats not full of crap.
      Fast Food- if you HAVE to, you can still eat it on occasion. (I personally prefer Hardees low carb so I dont even have to look at the bread. otherwise, get your burger with out ketchup, ditch the bun and go from there.)

      That small side salad you have listed for lunch isnt anywhere near enough veggies. You need to get those 3 cups of induction veggies. Gotta have um. no ifs ands or buts. Those 3 cups of veggies stay with you throughout the entire Atkins journey. Get used to um, learn to love um. Add mushrooms to your breakfast, or tomatoes.... spinach. etc etc.

      Dont get stuck on "3meals a day". If you do better with SMALLer meals more often, do it. Dont forget snacks, you will want something to nosh on between meals at times. Lil ham rollups with lettuce fit the bill and are easy.

        I hear ya, Babe. I know it is so dang hard to get focused sometimes but it comes. I wish we all had a "control" button and could it and we're in control again, but we don't. Like they said, be careful about the dog. Read carbs well, and get all beef. Dressings - my favs are ranch and bleu cheese. I like the kind in the produce section, not the shelves. but again, read the back carefully.

        You can do this.
